WE WASHINGTON D.C. | EDUCATIONAL EVENT:   FINDING RETURN IN A LOW GROWTH WORLD

On October 20, 2016, the Women in ETFs Washington D.C. Chapter hosted their second annual educational panel, "Finding Return in a Low Growth World," with Georgetown University's Center for Financial Markets and Policy. Panelists included Eric Balchunas, ETF analyst for Bloomberg, Joanne Hill, head of institutional investment strategy for ProShare Advisors, Alifia Doriwala, managing director of The Rock Creek Group, and Dave Gedeon, VP, head of research and development for Nasdaq Global Information Services. The panel was moderated by Georgetown’s Esteemed Fellow John Jacobs, formerly of Nasdaq. More than 40 people attended.

WE Washington, D.C. chapter co-heads Sharon Snow of Metropolitan Capital Strategies and Paula Kar of ProShare Advisors gave opening remarks and introduced John Jacobs and the panelists. The panelists then discussed how innovative ETF strategies can help tackle the challenge of finding return in the current low growth environment. It was a lively presentation. Participants asked lots of questions and stayed on to continue the discussion during the cocktail reception.

Thank you all who participated to make this event such a success!
