MARCH 29, 2017
WE WASHINGTON D.C | BOOK CLUB

The D.C. chapter of Women in ETFs hosted our first book club event in Bethesda. Elisa Petit and Michelle Generous led a lively discussion of “The Undoing Project” by Michael Lewis. Author of “The Big Short” and “Liar’s Poker,” Lewis explores the friendship and professional collaboration of two Israeli psychologists, Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, in his latest title. Book club members talked about the psychology of human decision-making and how the academics’ theories applied to our own life experiences. In addition to providing food for thought, the gathering was a terrific opportunity to network and get to know some newer WE members. Our next selection will return to Wall Street, as we read “Other People’s Money” by Nomi Prins, who has worked at Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns and other big banks. Please come to our next discussion on June 14 even if you haven’t finished the book!
