  WE EMEA MENTORSHIP

WE EMEA runs a mentorship programme from April 2019 to January 2020 (lasting 10 months) connecting experienced senior mentors within the ETF industry with individuals who are more recent to the industry. A careful matching process is undertaken to match mentees to an appropriate mentor based on the goals and objectives that the mentee wishes to achieve throughout the duration of the programme.

Please email mentorship@womeninetfs.com with specific inquiries or interest.

PLEASE NOTE: The WE EMEA Mentorship Program invites both men and women to participate as either mentors or mentees.

WHAT WE EXPECT...

From mentees

  • Time commitment
The expected commitment would be for 10 months starting in April. Within this timeframe we would suggest connecting at least once a month.
  • Survey and interview
Mentees are asked to complete a survey providing information about their activities and goals. There will then be a brief phone interview aimed at getting a better understanding of what the mentee would like to achieve from the programme.
  • Matching and follow up
Matching is coordinated by the WE team, driven primarily by your goals and responses to the survey. At regular intervals the WE team will check in with all participants to ensure you are continuing to benefit from the programme.
  • Event participation
There will be an initial launch event at which you will meet your mentor and a closing event. We ask that you are available for both events.
  • Presentation
You will be asked to prepare a brief presentation on your topic of choice, with a recommendation of your mentor’s area of expertise within the ETF industry and what you have achieved from taking part in the mentorship programme. You will then present this to the rest of the mentees so that all mentees can benefit from each other’s experience.

From mentors

  • Biography and survey
Mentors are asked to provide a short biography and survey. This information will assist with the matching process with the mentees.
  • Mentoring time commitment
The expected commitment would be for 10 months starting in April. Within this timeframe we would suggest connecting at least once a month.
  • Mentee selection
Matching will be coordinated by the WE team, driven by the mentee’s goals and the information you have provided in the survey. At regular intervals the WE team will check in with all participants to ensure you are continuing to benefit from the programme.
  • Event participation
There will be an initial launch event at which you will meet your mentees, and a closing event in which we hope all mentors will be able to participate.
